Željka Radak-Kukavičić currently serves as the Secretary-General at “Mi možemo” (“We can“) NGO in Podgorica, Montenegro. From 2014 to 2021, Željka was director of the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro reforming the tourism landscape with unifying tourism offer, placement and support for realization of tourism products, while boosting tourism image of Montenegro.

During 2003 – 2014, as a secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and a Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Radak-Kukavičić coordinated both internal and external activities, including state and non-state actors.  At that time, she worked on preparation of systematic measures and policies, hospitality, and implementation of strategic plans in the human resources development in the tourism industry. Throughout eighteen years in the tourism sector, Radak-Kukavičić participated in many tourism international conferences.

Prior to her career in tourism, from 1997 to 2003, she worked as an investment manager at the Development Fund of Montenegro where she focused on credit approval to small and medium enterprises, and as result, with the colleagues she published the book “How to start your own business”.

Mrs. Radak-Kukavičić, was born in Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1971 and has graduated from University of Montenegro, Faculty of Economics in Podgorica in 1996. In 2010, She wrote a master’s topic on “Creating a contemporary concept for the promotion of tourism products of Montenegro”, at the same faculty.  In 2017, Radak-Kukavičić was named The Best European Manager from European Independent Agencies – Sarajevo. In 2013, Željka received an award from the Montenegrin Tourist Association, for successful cooperation and contribution to the improvement of the tourism sector.
