About the Platform

The “Next Generation: Emergent Leaders in Libya” platform support efforts toward institution-building and reconciliation in Libya. It aims to inspire larger civic participation in Libyan communities and create a network of young emerging leaders committed to work to support, develop and promote:
تدعم منصة “الجيل القادم: قادة ليبيا الناشئون” الجهود نحو المصالحة الوطنية وبناء المؤسسات في ليبيا. تهدف المنصة الى دعم المشاركة المدنية بصورة أكبر في المجتمعات الليبية، وإلى إنشاء شبكة من الشباب الناشئين الملتزمين بالعمل على دعم وتطوير ما يلي:
– collective action and teamwork
ـ النشاط المشترك والعمل الجماعي
– reconciliation within the country
ـ المصالحة داخل البلاد
– reparations for victims of war
ـ تعويض ضحايا الحرب
– building of the Libyan national identity
– بناء الهوية الوطنية الليبية
The goals of the platform seek to energize and empower Libyan youth to actively contribute to the building of a pluralistic and inclusive Libyan society, free of autocracy and based on the rule of law, by engaging in panel discussions, writing articles and appearing on media addressing issues (problems) at hand offering solutions and best ways forward.
تسعى المنصة إلى تنشيط وتمكين الشباب الليبي للمساهمة بفعالية في بناء مجتمع ليبي تعددي وشامل، خالٍ من الاستبداد وقائم على سيادة القانون. وذلك من خلال المشاركة في حلقات نقاشية وكتابة المقالات والظهور في وسائل الإعلام للعمل على معالجة القضايا (المشاكل) المطروحة وتقديم أنسب الحلول وأفضل السبل للمضي قدمًا.
The platform will also address the corruption and bottleneck of the economy, including provision of services that Libyan people need, throughout the country, promote an independent judiciary and non-interference by the executive branch of the government in its work, and a stronger youth representation in the administration and government ministries.
ستعالج المنصة أيضًا الفساد والأزمة الاقتصادية، بما في ذلك توفير الخدمات التي يحتاجها الشعب الليبي في جميع أنحاء البلاد، والتأكيد على أهمية استقلال القضاء وعدم تدخل السلطة التنفيذية في عمله، وتمثيل أقوى للشباب في الإدارات والوزارات.
