Tera E. Dahl served as Special Assistant to the President, Deputy Chief of Staff for the National Security Council during the Trump Administration. Prior to joining the NSC, Tera served on the National Security Council Transition Team. She has worked as a congressional staff member in Washington, D.C. and as a congressional fellow with Westminster Institute, where she advised and briefed members of Congress and staff on national security and foreign policy issues. Tera has spent an extensive amount of time traveling to areas of conflict, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Burma, Egypt and Syria focusing on the global war on terrorism and providing humanitarian assistance. She worked for the Shafik Gabr Foundation in Washington, D.C. as the program coordinator for the East-West: The Art of Dialogue Fellowship that works to build bridges towards sustainable peace and cross-cultural understanding. She has spent time embedded as a journalist with the U.S. Marines in Helmand Province and Peshmerga forces during the war against Islamic State in Iraq. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN. She received her Master’s Degree from the Robertson School of Government at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.
